It was a busy end of the year for Turadh in 2017 with a number of different gigs round the country.Firstly we were so pleased to be asked back up to the hall on the heights in Strathpeffer to play more of our music. We always have such a warm welcome there and it’s such a beautiful setting to play in! It gave us a chance to reflect on how we had progressed since our last concert there in April.
Then in November we had a fantastic concert in Edinburgh playing at St. Giles Cathedral for one of their ‘Sound and Light’ monthly concerts. We were blown away by the turn out and had great fun playing about with the acoustic of the Cathedral.
Later that month we were back down in the central belt playing at the Inverkip hotel; http://www.inverkip.co.uk/ for one of their acoustic music nights. Again a really fun evening and we were thrilled to be put up for the night too, I can thoroughly recommend it for a stay!
We played out December with festive concert at the Old high church in Inverness. Despite the snow we were so pleased at the turn out and it was a nice change getting to have a mince pie and mulled wine with our audience afterward.
Thanks for all the support in 2017, we have already started our 2018 with a bang playing a private concert at Moniak Mhor writing centre. We have lots of new material we have developed and are working on so do stay tuned for Turadh news, we will be shouting about upcoming concerts soon
