So we could showcase the material that will be featuring on our up-coming CD (which we hope will be ready this summer!) Turadh performed a set of spring concerts to end the Easter break back in April.
The first was an intimate evening held at the fab Velocity cafe, a quirky little cafe next to a bicycle workshop. If you have never been, the cakes are amazing so it is definitely worth a visit. We were thrilled at the turn-out, the place was packed and a really fun audience to kick off our two concerts.
The second concert took place at Achterneed hall, or as it is more affectionately known, “The Hall on the Heights” in Strathpeffer. This is a lovely village hall that has somewhat fallen out of use in the community. To get money from the council to go towards to hall they need to prove it is being used so not only did we get to perform at this lovely hall but we were so pleased to be the first of many events kick-starting use of this venue. It was the perfect setting for our concert thanks to it’s lovely “Highland themed” mural and once again what a fab turn-out. We owe a big thanks to organiser Edel Rae who did an amazing job of transforming the quaint hall into a charming and comfortable concert venue. Hopefully we will be back in the future!
Roll on the next set of concerts, stay tuned….
